Family Day

Today we headed to Underwood Farms, a semi-local farm that goes all out for Halloween and Octoberfest. We headed out a little late and after about an hour drive, we arrived around 11. This was the first time we've been to Underwood since last year around this time. Wow, what a difference a year makes. No stroller, no wagon, just two boys walking on their own excited to be there. They climbed up the hay stack on their own, they checked out the tractors, and we went on a tractor ride around the farm. And, as it was last year, the wooden playstructure that was shaped like a train was a magnet to both boys. They played on that thing for probably half the time we were there. Sadly, though, the biggest highlight was that we bought a bag of the mini doughnuts and shared some (2 each) with them. They can't wait to be older so they can have more doughnuts. All in all, a pretty good morning. As usual, naptime has been challenging. N keeps figuring out how to unlock his door somehow (lock is on the outside but maybe not super secure) and so he's wide awake but is obviously tired. No such thing as a perfect day, I guess.
