Legoland - Part II

We survived the first day! The boys slept in Friday until 7ish again (what a treat!). J got them up and then let them play in the hotel bath which was nice and big so that had a blast (and gave me a chance to sleep a little and then take a quick shower). We decided to keep breakfast simpler this morning. I had a couple small yogurts and put those on a plate along with some broccoli and some fresh strawberries and let the boys eat that in bed while watching their DVD. J and I grabbed a coffee and scone (which we of course shared with the boys!) at the coffee place while we waited for the valet to bring our car around.

We got to Legoland around 10AM and were able to walk right in since we had our passes (so nice to avoid all the lines). We went straight to the miniland again (and this time we had a camera with a battery). We didn't rush through this at all this time. I figured if this is their favorite part of Legoland, they may as well fully enjoy it.

We eventually headed through the park to the new water park (poorly designed - it's a separate water park but you have to walk all the way through Legoland to get there and you have to bring your own towels, etc and rent a locker for all your stuff while you are in the water park). We changed into our suits and went into a nice wading pool (with small slides) and it was FREEZING! The boys were shivering. I couldn't go in - way too cold for me. J talked the boys into trying the slide. N really enjoyed it and went on it a couple times. S elected to get out cause he was way too cold. We all changed back into our clothes and decided to eat at the restaurant in the water park. Great food for what it was and really reasonable with the pass discount.

Everyone was really tired at this point (and N was starting to get a little drizzly/sick) so we headed back down to the truck. We each carried a boy for part of the walk and then eventually made our way down to the main Lego store near the entrance. We told the boys they could either pick one small Lego kit each and we'd make those at the hotel or they could each pick something larger but we wouldn't put it together until we got home. Such a hard decision! They kept picking up a box and then would change their mind... eventually they both settled on a very large Star Wars spaceship. We also picked up four nerf-like swords. Back to the truck (with a slight spring in their step because they knew they had new Lego's) and back to the hotel for nap. Great naps again (and I squeezed in a nice massage and spa time).

Our friend Nameeta and her twin boys decided to join us for dinner at the hotel (we went to the other restaurant which was much better food-wise but once again the service was surprisingly slow given the number of small children in our party). Luckily, we sat on the patio of the restaurant and the boys could go play swords together in the open area (away from the restaurant but we could still see them). We had a nice dinner and J wound up taking all boys back to the room to change and go to the pool while Nameeta and I had a nice change to eat dessert and talk.

When we went back, the four boys were having a great time in the pool together. Got everyone out, Nameeta and family went home, got the boys into PJs (much better evening than the night before!), stories and off to sleep. Sadly because N wasn't feeling so great he woke up a LOT that night and also the family staying in the room above our room was really loud.

Another bath, DVD, room service breakfast, pack up everything... Nameeta, Sebastian, and the kids met us at the room and they all went to the pool together while J and I checked out. The kids played in the pool and we had lunch there (which Nameeta brought so it was much better than the hotel option). Changed everyone. Loaded up and headed home. The boys fell asleep instantly on the way home but sadly we hit a lot of traffic and N woke up the first time we stopped from that (luckily S stayed sleeping for a good hour). Then HOME SWEET HOME!
